Custom Artwork & Intellectual Property Policy

PURPOSE

Ironwall Engraving creates laser-engraved collector accessories, displays, personalized keepsakes, and custom products. Many orders may involve customer-submitted text, names, logos, images, artwork, files, references, or design instructions. This policy explains what customers may submit, what rights customers must have, and when we may refuse or cancel a project.

INDEPENDENT BUSINESS; NO THIRD-PARTY AFFILIATION

Ironwall Engraving is an independent custom engraving business.

Unless expressly stated in writing, our products are not licensed, sponsored, endorsed, manufactured, approved, or affiliated with any trading card company, game publisher, entertainment brand, sports league, grading company, card manufacturer, artist, retailer, trademark owner, copyright owner, or other third party.

Third-party names, marks, or references may appear only for truthful compatibility, identification, descriptive purposes, or customer-requested personalization where permitted. Any such reference belongs to its respective owner.

WHAT COUNTS AS CUSTOMER-SUBMITTED CONTENT

Customer-submitted content includes anything a customer gives us for a custom order, including:

• Names, initials, dates, numbers, short messages, quotes, inscriptions, or phrases.
• Artwork, drawings, files, logos, photos, icons, symbols, images, or graphics.
• Character references, team references, brand references, collector references, game references, or pop-culture references.
• Product layout instructions, design notes, mockups, screenshots, sketches, or inspiration images.
• Files sent by email, contact form, upload tool, social message, or other communication method.

CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY FOR RIGHTS

By submitting content, you represent and warrant that:

• You own the submitted content or have permission from the owner to use it for the requested product.
• You have any needed copyright, trademark, license, publicity-right, privacy-right, design-right, or other permission.
• The content does not falsely imply sponsorship, endorsement, licensing, affiliation, certification, grading, authenticity, or approval by a third party.
• The content is not counterfeit, misleading, fraudulent, unlawful, stolen, confidential, or restricted.
• The content does not violate anyone's copyright, trademark, trade dress, design rights, privacy rights, publicity rights, contract rights, or other rights.

We are not responsible for verifying every ownership claim or permission claim made by a customer. We may ask for proof of authorization, but our request or failure to request proof does not mean we have approved the legal status of the content.

LIMITED LICENSE TO USE CUSTOMER CONTENT

By submitting content, you grant Ironwall Engraving a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, resize, adapt, engrave, print, display internally, store, and process the content as reasonably necessary to:

• Review your request.
• Prepare quotes, mockups, layouts, or design proofs.
• Create production files and engraving settings.
• Produce, finish, package, ship, and support your order.
• Communicate with you about the order.
• Keep reasonable order, support, tax, fraud-prevention, legal, and dispute records.
• Respond to legal claims, intellectual-property complaints, chargebacks, refunds, or customer-service issues.
• Enforce our policies and protect our rights.

This license does not give us ownership of customer-submitted content. It allows us to use the content for the order and related operational purposes.

PUBLIC DISPLAY AND MARKETING USE

We will not intentionally publish personal names, private messages, customer-submitted photos, or uniquely identifying custom artwork in public marketing in a way that reveals private customer information unless you give permission or the content is already public and legally usable.

If we want to feature a custom order in a gallery, social post, product example, portfolio, or marketing material, we may ask for permission. If you do not want your order shown publicly, tell us in writing when placing the order.

SHOP-CREATED DESIGNS AND DESIGN FILES

Unless agreed in writing, buying a physical product does not include ownership of Ironwall Engraving's design files, templates, production files, SVG files, mockups, source files, engraving settings, jig files, tooling, processes, product photos, website content, branding, or shop-created artwork.

If we create a design, layout, template, proof, or production file for your order, we retain ownership of our original shop-created work except for any customer-submitted content or third-party content included in it. You receive the physical finished product, not a license to reproduce, resell, distribute, or commercially use the design unless we agree in writing.

UNAUTHORIZED LOGOS, CHARACTERS, BRANDS, AND FAN ART

Do not submit or request unauthorized use of:

• Company logos, product logos, school logos, team logos, league marks, grading company marks, certification marks, or brand names.
• Copyrighted character art, game art, anime art, movie art, comic art, trading card art, album art, book art, or other protected images.
• Celebrity names, athlete names, public-figure likenesses, influencer likenesses, or private-person likenesses without appropriate rights.
• Artwork copied from marketplaces, search results, social media, card art, game screenshots, official merchandise, fan artists, or other sources without permission.
• Designs that imply a product is official, licensed, graded, certified, authenticated, or endorsed when it is not.

Fan art can still create legal risk. A customer saying that something is "fan art," "inspired by," "for personal use," "not for resale," or "I found it online" does not automatically make the design legal to engrave.

AI-GENERATED ARTWORK

If you submit AI-generated artwork, you are responsible for confirming that you have the right to use it for the requested product and that it does not infringe third-party rights, copy protected artwork, or violate the terms of the AI tool used to create it.

We may reject AI-generated artwork that appears to copy a protected character, brand style, artist style, logo, celebrity likeness, or other protected material.

LIKENESS, PRIVACY, AND PERSONAL INFORMATION

Do not submit photos, names, addresses, signatures, personal documents, private messages, or likenesses of another person unless you have permission from that person or the right to use the material.

Do not submit confidential, medical, financial, government-issued, school, employment, or sensitive personal information unless we specifically request it and it is necessary for the order.

PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED CUSTOM REQUESTS

We may reject, cancel, or request changes to custom work involving:

• Infringing or unauthorized intellectual property.
• Counterfeit or falsely branded goods.
• Content that impersonates an official brand, certification, grading label, school, agency, employer, or government document.
• Hate speech, harassment, threats, doxxing, or discriminatory content.
• Content encouraging violence, self-harm, criminal conduct, or illegal activity.
• Sexually exploitative content, non-consensual intimate imagery, or sexual content involving minors.
• Fraudulent documents, fake IDs, false credentials, or misleading official-looking items.
• Regulated weapons modifications or content intended to create illegal or unsafe goods.
• Designs that are technically unsuitable, unsafe, low quality, structurally unsound, or incompatible with the selected material.
• Any content that may violate payment-processor rules, marketplace rules, carrier rules, law, or our business standards.

DESIGN AND ENGRAVING LIMITATIONS

Laser engraving has technical limitations. Fine lines, tiny text, gradients, low-resolution files, complex shading, transparent backgrounds, color artwork, reflective materials, coated surfaces, and irregular materials may not translate exactly to the finished product.

We may resize, simplify, clean up, trace, crop, convert, or adapt submitted artwork for engraving. These adjustments are part of production and do not guarantee that a design will match a digital image exactly.

If a design proof is provided, review it carefully before approval.

PROOF APPROVAL

If a proof is provided, your approval confirms that you accept the spelling, layout, size, placement, artwork, product, and design choices shown in the proof. After approval, customer-requested changes may require extra charges or may not be possible.

If you approve a proof containing a customer-submitted mistake, such as a misspelled name, wrong date, wrong logo, wrong phrase, or wrong layout choice, the order may not be eligible for a free remake or refund.

TAKEDOWN REQUESTS AND RIGHTS COMPLAINTS

Rights owners may submit copyright, trademark, publicity-right, or other complaints under our Copyright & Trademark Complaints Policy.

If we receive a rights complaint involving customer-submitted content, we may remove product images, hide listings, cancel orders, suspend custom work, request proof of authorization, preserve records, refund affected orders, or take other action we consider appropriate.

REPEAT OR ABUSIVE SUBMISSIONS

Customers who repeatedly submit infringing, unauthorized, illegal, abusive, or unsafe content may be blocked from placing future orders.
